Purchased this after hearing the owner on the Mile Thurston podcast, I like the hair serum and the conditioner but the clay is rock hard its unusable and when you do eventually get some out out it’s not even that great. Unfortunately for the price I won’t be a returning customer.

I’m going to be honest, it’s not smooth at after applying, leaves my hair looking dry. Feels rough. And I don’t apply all my products at once.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave an honest review — we really appreciate the feedback! The Texture Clay is designed for an extreme, all-day hold with a matte finish, which can sometimes feel a bit dry, especially if your hair leans more on the coarse or dry side.
A tip that might help: try applying a small amount of our Hydrating Argan Oil or leave-in conditioner before the Clay to help balance moisture while still getting the hold you're looking for.

The spray helped thicken and style my hair. The cream was easy to apply and helped finish off the style. Both are easy to wash out and overall look and feel really good

I’ve now tried it for over 2 weeks, and I keep experiencing itching after having it in my hair for about 7 hours.
Maybe there’s something in it that my scalp can’t tolerate, since it keeps itching.
Other than that, the product is perfectly fine — it gives good volume and a matte finish.
For many months, I’ve been using the white Forte Cream version.
There’s absolutely no problem with that one, and it works well without any irritation.

Chrome Clay - Strong Hold & Matte Finish 2.5 Oz | Forte Series Hair Type: Fine Hair

Fantastic performance from the Forte series again. This clay is notably smoother to scoop and apply than the OG texture clay, but still offers great texture, matte finish and a high hold (though not as powerful as the OG). It lasts at least 8 hours on a single scoop. It's also quite versatile with styling, being good for quiffs, side parts, or a slick back. The silvery chrome jar is a cool touch too.
Always a go-to especially for shorter styles... has an incredible hold. A little goes a long way. Start with a little, you can always add more of needed.

I’ve used the generic 2-1 forever and have been more than happy changing to these Forte products instead!
It’s create the texture good ( 1 like), but it’s hard to get and apply on my hair ! ( my hair type: hard and wavy)
This works great with my hair. I may have a lot of hair, but it’s fine. This adds some slight thickness and the styling cream provides some added softness and a pretty good hold. I hate high holding products because they tend to worsen your hairstyle, at least for me. But products with a light to medium hold? Yeah thats the good stuff. 9/10
