Kick These 3 Bad Habits to Improve Your Mental Health in 2023

COVID lockdowns may be a thing of the past, but a year in quarantine made it easy to pick up bad habits without knowing it.

Since there were no friends or co-workers around to help you stay accountable to a productive lifestyle, it was easy to fall into a routine that negatively affects your mental health.

To help you out, here are some common bad habits you may have picked up, and how to break them in 2023. So you can start off 2023 feeling healthier, happier, and more productive.

1. Unproductive Screen Time

Since concerts, clubs, and theatres closed down during the pandemic,  everyone turned to their phones and big screens for daily entertainment.

But guys are now calling apps like Tik Tok and Netflix a “Productivity Black Hole.”

So instead of wasting your days watching mind-numbing videos, use your screen time for connecting with friends and family, joining online community groups on Facebook and Reddit, or taking an online course to learn a new skill!

Tip: Download a screen-time monitoring app. This would help you become more conscious of your time and help manage it better.

2. Simping for Singles

Since restrictions killed any chance of meeting people in real life, most guys turned to dating apps to find a connection.

But the thing is, swiping for hours without a match or being left on read can really hurt a guy’s confidence.

If this is you, it’s time to take a break from dating apps! Rather than spend your time on digital dating, work on self-improvement.

Start a workout routine, invest in skincare, and study up on 2023 style trends.

3. Wasting Money On Take-Out

Delivery apps like Ubereats exploded in popularity during lockdown season. And eating in has never been the same ever since.

Some guys said they spent thousands of dollars on take-out last year! Insane!  Definitely not a habit you'd want to keep going forward.

Since you’re spending most of your time at home anyways, save that money and learn to cook for yourself!

There are great classes you can sign up for on platforms like Skillshare or Udemy. Or there’s plenty of free videos on Youtube. You can even learn from Gordon Ramsey himself!
